Northbound lanes on I-57 in the south suburbs were closed early Monday morning for a reported shooting investigation, with state police on scene and major traffic impacts for the rush hour commute.
NBC 5 traffic reporter Kye Martin said the closure was on I-57 between 147th and 127th, stretching from Posen to Blue Island.
“This is a causing a huge, 20-minute delay as you reroute around this,” Martin said.
