If you missed out on the latest drop of tickets to the Obama Presidential Center museum in Chicago, you might still be able to get in.
The latest round of tickets to the popular new attraction in Chicago went on sale Wednesday but sold in a matter of minutes, despite many waiting in queues for nearly an hour.
The tickets were released at 10 a.m. CT and by 10:56 a.m., users still waiting for their chance to purchase received a message saying “current availability for Museum tickets ifs full.”
But officials said they plan to update their availability every second Wednesday of every month, starting at 10 a.m. CT.
That means more tickets could become available for those willing to wait.
Wednesday’s release follows an earlier “sellout due to high demand.” Initial tickets sold out so quickly that entry times were pushed back well into the fall.
The Obama Foundation announced last month a new block of tickets would go on sale in July for visits between September 2026 and January 2027.
“We built the Obama Presidential Center to be a place where people from all walks of life can come together, find inspiration, and leave ready to make a difference – and it’s been thrilling to see that vision come to life every day on our campus,” Valerie Jarrett, CEO of The Obama Foundation, said in a statement. “The overwhelming interest we’ve seen since opening our doors is a powerful reminder of how much people are looking for spaces that bring us closer together. We’re thrilled to make more tickets available and grateful to our members whose support helps us invest in the next generation of changemakers.”
A special presale for founding members began on July 1. Officials emphasized the museum is the only area that requires a ticket; the remainder of the center is free and open to the public.
Some gests waited for nearly an hour to purchase tickets, with prices ranging from $15-$30.
