Ty Gibbs, currently fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, will start fifth.
Alex Bowman, who won the last race held at Chicagoland Speedway in 2019, will start 12th in Sunday’s race.
The Chicagoland Speedway hosted annual NASCAR races from its opening in 2001 until the 2019 season. After the race was canceled in 2020 due to COVID, NASCAR announced it would not return to Chicagoland for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, then made history in 2023 when they announced they would hold a street race in Chicago, the first of its kind on the Cup Series.
