ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This year marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the Rochester region is going all-out to celebrate.

The City of Rochester, towns, and villages are holding celebrations ahead of or on Independence Day. News10NBC has your guide to parades, fireworks, races, and more. Irondequoit festival and run (Friday and Saturday)

Irondequoit’s Fourth of July Festival kicks off on Friday, with festivities happening throughout the day at the town hall on Titus Avenue. There will be a craft fair with local artists from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. There will also be a cornhole tournament starting at 6 p.m. on Friday and a street dance starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s festivities begin with a two-mile fun run at 7:45 a.m. and a 10K race at 8:15 a.m. Then, there will be a parade between Irondequoit High School and the town hall starting at 11 a.m. Saturday’s celebration will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at the town hall. Farmington celebration (Friday)

The Town of Farmington is holding an Independence Day celebration on Friday with food trucks, live music, and fireworks at the Farmington Town Park off Collett Road. Food trucks will arrive by 6 p.m. and live music by “Shades of Gray” will start at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will start at dusk. See the full schedule here.

Conesus Lake Ring of Fire (Friday)

The Conesus Lake Ring of Fire, a historic Seneca Nation tradition, is happening on Friday. Residents around Conesus Lake will light flares at exactly 10 p.m. to create the Ring of Fire. After that, there will be fireworks around Conesus Lake.

The Ring of Fire celebrates the beauty and abundance of the lake. Organizers say public viewing is best at Vitale Park at the north end of Conesus Lake or Long Point Park off of West Lake Road on Conesus Lake. You can learn more here.

Sweden Clarkson Recreation Center celebration (Friday)

The Sweden Clarkson Community Center is holding an Independence Day celebration on Friday with food trucks, children’s activities, and fireworks. It runs from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a performance by Sweden Senior Singers at 5:30 p.m. at the gymnasium. You can learn more about the schedule here.

Red Wings game fireworks (Friday and Saturday)

The Red Wings will hold fireworks after their games on Friday and Saturday at ESL Ballpark. Both games are against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Friday’s game starts at 6:05 p.m. and Saturday’s game starts at 6:45 p.m. You can get tickets here. The Red Wings will also be home on Sunday.

Downtown Rochester fireworks (Saturday)

The City of Rochester is set to host a downtown fireworks extravaganza on Saturday that begins at 10 p.m. The Broad Street and Court Street bridges will be closed to traffic so people can gather to watch the 15 to 20-minute fireworks show.

The annual Brighton July 4th 5K race gets underway at 8 p.m. on Saturday. It starts at Brighton High School on Winton Road. The Town of Greece is holding an Independence Day celebration with food, live music, and fireworks on Saturday at its town hall on Vince Tofany Boulevard.

The Town of Henrietta is holding an Independence Day celebration at Veterans Memorial Park.
