Amid her back to back 2026 tour that includes European summer festivals and solo headline concerts, she has unveiled a brand-new song.
Jansen’s newly released track "Run" is her first solo single following the release of her debut album Paragon in 2023.
Officially launched on June 26 through REVAMP Music in collaboration with Warner Music, the 45-year-old vocalist reunited with Gordon Groothedde, who also worked on the final album by her former band After Forever, to bring the song to life.

In an Instagram update, she emphasized embracing yourself and not trying to please others.
“To me, RUN is about no longer making yourself smaller to fit into a shape that was never yours. It’s about taking off the mask, trusting your own movement, and daring to be seen that way. Musically, it feels like the start of something new. A little heavier, a little more direct, but still honest, still melodic, still completely me. I’ve been looking forward to this moment for a long time, and I can’t wait for you to hear it!” she said, as mentioned in the caption.

“Not touring with Nightwish gives me time to write my second solo album,” she told the outlet, adding, “I have ideas, I have people I want to work with, I even wrote a song before Lucy was born. Nothing is finished yet, but it will come.”
