Egypt’s Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday the launch of joint Egyptian-Turkish air training activities dubbed “Anatolian Eagle – 2026,” with the participation of multi-mission combat aircraft from Egypt, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, in addition to a NATO early warning aircraft.
The ministry said in a statement that the drill is being carried out over several days at one of the air bases in Turkey.
The training exercises began with a series of theoretical lectures to standardize combat concepts and facilitate the exchange of training expertise among participating personnel.
These exercises are expected to include several joint air sorties to refine the skills of the participating forces, enabling them to execute their assigned missions efficiently and effectively.
The training comes under a framework to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces.
