Kelly, who come to Baton Rouge via Notre Dame, coached the Tigers for 3 and a half seasons. He previously coached at Grand Valley State, Central Michigan and Cincinnati before landing with the Fighting Irish, where he coached for 12 years before resigning with a 92-39 record.
