The note was sent around 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, in which she wished him a happy birthday and talked about their daughter, Aurora. According to sources who spoke with the outlet, Blanchard began by apologizing after a photo that showed their daughter’s face had leaked online. She said she would find out who was responsible, saying she believed it was from her private Facebook page where she had posted the picture. In the note, she apologized for it happening on Urker’s birthday.
She also asked if they could FaceTime later so that their daughter could see him.
“We’re told the voice note disappeared around 2 PM, leading those close to the situation to believe Ken listened to it … but he never responded.,” TMZ wrote.
A separate report from TMZ detailed how the two were taking some time apart, but were still together and were even planning to move into a new apartment. Sources told the outlet that Urker asked for some space, and she had been staying with her parents. It stemmed from Urker’s drinking, which had become a problem in recent months and created a strain on their relationship.
Urker was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday, Oct. 1, the same day as his 34th birthday. TMZ reports that syringes and a spoon near a brown, powdery substance were found near Urker’s body, as well as another syringe on the nightstand. According to law enforcement records, a caller warned the police that Urker had threatened suicide, owned a gun, and was “dark place.” The police report obtained by TMZ classified his death as an overdose, with an autopsy being conducted on Friday morning.
