Our Chicago Bulls aren’t the only team generating oodles of buzz heading into tomorrow’s 2026 NBA Draft — but we are, nevertheless, still generating oodles of buzz heading into tomorrow’s 2026 NBA Draft.
Let’s dig into some of the freshest rumors and late-breaking news ahead of what’s sure to be a very active draft week. For our Bulls, who own both the Nos. 4 and 15 picks this year, this could be the most consequential draft in a basketball generation.
Or it could be another 2020 NBA Draft.

During a recent interview on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” (via @BullsKickAss), All-SEC Tennessee forward Nate Ament was asked which teams have shown the most interest in him to this point. He supplied a surprising answer.

— BullsKickAss (@Bullskickass) June 21, 2026“Well, I’ve only done four workouts: Chicago, Brooklyn, OKC and the Clippers, so they’ve shown a lot of love,” Ament said.
The Clippers and Nets have the Nos. 5 and 6 picks in the draft, respectively, while the Thunder and Bulls currently trail them with the Nos. 12 and 15 selections. Chicago wouldn’t burn the fourth pick on Ament, as good as he is.
Positionally, Ament would overlap a bit with some of the most intriguing Bulls. A 6-foot-10 forward, Ament projects to be a three at the next level, which sure seems to be Matas Buzelis’ best position. But if Chicago really does luck into Cameron Boozer or Caleb Wilson, suddenly its frontcourt would be quite crowded. Ament in this scenario would be jockeying for bench minutes alongside 2025 lottery pick Noa Essengue, Leonard Miller, Jalen Smith if he sticks around, and, uh, Patrick Williams.
Caleb Wilson Wants the Bulls, Too?
It appears that the love between Caleb Wilson and the Windy City might be mutual!
Jeremy Woo of ESPN reports that the only team the North Carolina All-American rim-runner visited ahead of the draft has been our Bulls. He had a solo workout with the team and chopped it up with new head coach Tiago Splitter and other key Bulls figures. Woo writes that Chicago “is thought to be Wilson’s preferred landing spot at 4.”
Wilson is an incredible athlete, with dynamic slashing ability and dunktastic finishing aplomb. He needs to finesse his jump-shooting and, to a lesser extent, his playmaking at the next level, but he absolutely has multi-time All-Star potential.
Could Caleb Wilson be the next Giannis Antetokounmpo? That’s maybe an unfair ceiling to put on this guy, but he does have a similar profile.
And speaking of Giannis Antetokounmpo…
Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Race Down to Two Teams?
Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo looks to make a play. © David Banks-Imagn ImagesIt sure sounds like it’s now between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat for the right to snag 10-time All-Star Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the Heat front office hopes not to completely decimate its present roster and future draft equity in a trade for the two-time MVP. Only three-time All-Star power forward/center Bam Adebayo is considered untouchable in any Antetokounmpo-to-Miami exchange, even though neither standout All-Defensive big can shoot a 3-pointer.
Sources tell ESPN’s Shams Charania that Antetokounmpo’s yearlong trade saga is slated to end ahead of Tuesday night’s 2026 NBA Draft, Charania revealed to a “Get Up” panel on Monday. The Bucks currently have the No. 10 pick.
According to @shamscharania, a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade will be coming before the NBA draft tomorrow ? pic.twitter.com/zj7ik38yLD
— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) June 22, 2026“The Bucks are in serious conversations with two finalists: the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. Both teams are Giannis’ preferred trade destinations, but both of these packages are different deals… With Boston, it’s a Jaylen Brown-led package… In Miami, it’s a group of cost-controlled players, rookie-scale contracts, significant draft capital in that deal,” Charania said. “Whichever deal occurs, whether it’s today or tomorrow, it is going to be a one-to-one deal. It’s going to consistent of Milwaukee and likely one of these two teams.”
Brian Windhorst of ESPN echoed this same sentiment on “Get Up,” indicating that 2024 Finals MVP Brown is very much being made available in trade discussions — despite Brown being younger and generally healthier than Antetokounmpo, plus a great shooting fit next to All-Star Celtics power forward Jayson Tatum.

— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) June 22, 2026Windhorst, too, believes that Boston and Miami are the two finalists for Antetokounmpo. Windhorst adds that the Celtics are possibly offering Jaylen Brown and their own first-round pick in a deal.
Celtics Dismantling Their Championship Core?
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White reacts. Mandatory Credit: Paul Rutherford-Imagn ImagesJaylen Brown isn’t the only critical holdover from Boston’s 2024 title run that the Celtics could ditch in a trade this summer.
The Athletic‘s Jon Krawczynski reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves are making a concerted push to acquire three-time All-Defensive Team Boston guard Derrick White.
Boston finished with the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference despite Tatum being unavailable for most of the year, but the team disappointed in the playoffs. The Celtics built up a 3-1 series edge over the Philadelphia 76ers, but Philadelphia rallied to pull off the upset. Center Neemias Queta was exposed in the series as a miscast reserve rather than a true starter on a contender. Brown and White underperformed.
Clearly, President Brad Stevens is open to some level of a drastic rebuild around Tatum. Would the Timberwolves’ No. 28 pick in the draft and, say, four-time Defensive Player of the Year center Rudy Gobert be enough to get this done? The Celtics would need to send out some additional salary to make the money work.
Finalists for Trail Blazers Head Coach Gig Revealed?
Minnesota Timberwolves Assistant Coach Micah Nori and Player Anthony Edwards © Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn ImagesNow that Tiago Splitter and Dusty May have been hired to coach our Chicago Bulls and the Mavericks, respectively, all attention has turned to the final NBA head coaching vacancy: Splitter’s old stomping grounds, the Portland Trail Blazers.
Stein suggests that another coach with 2026 championship equity, New York Knicks assistant Chris Jent, is in the running next to rumored finalists Micah Nori of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Tyler Lashbrook of the Boston Celtics.
New Portland owner Tom Dundon is allegedly trying to underpay whoever he hires next. Maybe he’s been talked down from this stance, if a respected assistant like Nori is in the mix?
