Over the years, viewers have watched companies from Scrub Daddy and Bombas to Tipsy Elves become household names after landing deals with the Sharks. The combination of national exposure and investment from successful entrepreneurs often gives these businesses a massive boost.
However, not every company that appears on Shark Tank enjoys long-term success. Some businesses struggle to keep up with demand, while others fail to secure retail partnerships or run into operational challenges after the cameras stop rolling. Even companies that receive offers on the show don't always complete their deals after filming. As a result, many once-promising products eventually fade from the spotlight.
Curious to see whether the hype was justified, I finally placed an order and tried some of Pipcorn's most popular snacks. Here's what I learned about the company and why it continues to stand out in a crowded snack market.
What Is Special About Pipcorn?
View this post on InstagramAccording to the company, its products are made with simple ingredients, non-GMO corn and avocado oil, creating a snack that feels a little less processed than many of its competitors.
The company focuses on letting the natural flavor of the heirloom corn shine through instead of masking it with excessive seasoning. That simplicity is part of the brand's appeal and helps distinguish it from many heavily flavored snack competitors.
What Happened to Pipcorn After 'Shark Tank'?

Reports indicate that Pipcorn received thousands of orders shortly after the episode aired, dramatically increasing demand for the product. The company expanded its operations, grew its retail presence and eventually broadened its product lineup beyond popcorn.

I Tried Pipcorn—Here's My Honest Review
View this post on InstagramFor my first Pipcorn order, I decided to go all-in and try the variety pack. It included Mini Popcorn in Sea Salt and Truffle flavors, Cheese Balls in Real Cheddar and White Cheddar varieties, Cheddar Crunchies, Fries in Truffle and Fiery Cheddar, Corn Dippers in Sea Salt, Cinnamon Churro Twists, and a container of Pipcorn's Mini Popcorn Kernels for popping at home. Here's what I thought of each Pipcorn product.
Mini Popcorn Kernels

It was light, crunchy and packed with corn flavor. As an avid popcorn consumer, I can honestly say this variety will definitely become a regular family movie night treat in our house.

Both flavors were well-seasoned without being overly salty, though the sea salt variety was my personal favorite because it let the heirloom corn flavor take center stage.
Cheese Balls (Real Cheddar and White Cheddar)

The real cheddar version was also tasty, and the cheese seasoning reminded me a lot of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese powder in the best possible way. Still, the white cheddar flavor felt more balanced and memorable overall.

This was the one product that didn't quite win me over. While the crunchies were certainly crisp and crunchy, I found them a little too dense in texture. The cheddar seasoning also tasted different from the cheddar used on the cheese balls, which was disappointing because I preferred the flavor profile of the cheese balls. They weren't bad, but they were easily my least favorite item in the variety pack, and not a substitute for original Cheetos.
Fries (Fiery Cheddar and Truffle)

The truffle flavor, meanwhile, delivered exactly what it promised: lots of truffle flavor. Unfortunately, I tend to find strong truffle flavor overpowering, and that was the case here. However, if you're someone who loves truffle-forward snacks, this could easily become a favorite.

In fact, I had a hard time putting the bag down once I opened it. These have officially become my new go-to corn chip, and now I'm eager to try the Chili Cheese and Lime versions.

Pip Snacks
If I had one tiny critique, it would be that I wouldn't mind a little more cinnamon sugar coating. That said, they're delicious exactly as they are and were one of the most addictive snacks in the box.
Overall Thoughts
View this post on InstagramMost importantly, nearly every snack delivered an impressive texture—light, airy, crisp and satisfying—with a wholesome corn flavor that feels distinct from anything else in the snack aisle. While not every product was a personal favorite, several of them, especially the Corn Dippers and Cinnamon Churro Twists, have earned a permanent spot on my snack shopping list.
I can confidently say I'll be ordering from Pipcorn again and look forward to trying some of the brand's seasonal and limited-edition releases in the future. (I'm looking at you, Dill Pickle Balls and Kimchi Balls.)
How to Order Pipcorn
View this post on InstagramYou can also use the company's store locator to find retailers that carry Pip's Heirloom Snacks in your area. Many grocery stores, like Whole Foods and Sprouts, specialty food shops like Thrive Market, and national retailers stock at least some of the brand's products.
While not every Shark Tank product lives up to the hype, Pipcorn appears to be one of the success stories that has earned its staying power.
