The Superman spin-off series, which was first announced in November last year, will see Skyler Gisondo reprise his role as the Daily Planet reporter Olsen.
He wrote in a post on Threads: “It's both a Jimmy Olsen AND a Gorilla Grodd show. And it's one of my favourite projects. We start filming soon."
Responding to a fan asking it it was true that the Olsen show had been turned into a Grodd show, he said: "It didn't become anything. It is what it's always been, including pitching it as part of the package before I even started at DC."
The publication also reported that the show would be titled DC Crime – which Gunn recently debunked on Threads.
The release date for the Olsen and Grodd show is yet to be confirmed.
