Georgia added a run on a wild sequence in the 7th inning. Rylan Lujo hit a flyball to shallow left field. Texas shortstop Adrian Rodriguez caught it amid a collision with left fielder Anthony Pack Jr. The Dawgs were aggressive, sending Ryan Black to tag up. Georgia now faces Oklahoma on Wednesday. The Bulldogs can force a winner-take-all game on Thursday if they win Wednesday. The Sooners, who beat Georgia on Monday, can advance to the CWS Finals with a win on Wednesday or Thursday. UGA needs to defeat OU twice to reach the championship series.
