2026 NCAP Qualifier
June 11-14, 2026 Stafford, VA LCM (50 meters) Meet Central Meet Mobile “2026 NCAP Elite Qualifier”The NCAP Qualifier kicked off on Thursday evening and highlighting the list of attendees is a group from the University of Virginia.
UVA teammates Sara Curtis and Bryn Greenwaldt went 1-2 in the 50 back as Curtis touched in a 28.02 and Greenwaldt swam to a 28.29. Curtis has been as fast as a 27.33, a time she swam in April. This was Greenwaldt’s first time ever racing a long course event besides the 50 free.
On Thursday, Texas commit Sadie Buckley swam to a win in the 800 free as she touched in a 8:46.57, dropping nine seconds off her best.
Lawson Ficklen won the 100 fly in a 1:01.74, about a second off her lifetime best and touched just 0.01 ahead of NC State commit Emma Cigna who swam to a 1:01.75. Cigna swam a 1:01.39 in prelims to drop half a second off her lifetime best.
Kentucky commit Mia Eubank had a successful meet at the AP Race meet last month and swam to a win in the 200 free with a 2:04.01 here. Natalie Garre, who competes collegiately for Brown, swam to a 2:04.12 for 2nd. Eubank also won the 1500 free on Thursday with a 17:22.79.
Other Women’s Event Winners:
100 breast: Abigail Bonham, 1:11.48 400 IM: Emma Redman, 4:57.13Virginia’s Hayden Bellotti won the 100 fly on the boys side in a 55.98 and was slightly faster in prelims with a 55.62 to drop 0.08 off his previous lifetime best. Bellotti swam the 100 and 200 flys at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
2026 NCAA Finalist in the 100 breast Matvei Namakonov won the 100 breast in a 1:02.03, dropping from his previous best of a 1:02.72 from July 2024. Namakonov became Delaware’s first NCAA All-Americain history with his 7th place finish in the 100 breast in March.
Alex Grocholski won the 200 free in a 1:54.61, dropping 0.73 off his lifetime best. The Virginia Tech commit also won the 800 free on Thursday in a 8:36.17, a 16 second drop.
