He's definitely a chip off the old block, following in the footsteps of love rat father Max (Jake Wood). While girlfriend Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) was imprisoned for the manslaughter of her father Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), he hopped into bed with her twin brother Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan).
She was stunned to catch them in a passionate embrace, and warned Josh that, although she wouldn't be taking action and telling Jasmine herself, he would eventually have to come clean.
Matters quickly complicated during the Slater twins' 20th birthday meal – which Oscar found himself awkwardly invited to – when a guilt-ridden Josh interrupted the "Happy Birthday" song to reveal what had been going on.
He whisked Oscar off home, where Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) tried to impart some wisdom. She told the teenager that while he couldn't change his mistakes, he could start to try and put things right.
When he returned to The Vic, Jasmine said that she was finding it hard to hate someone that she loved so much. Although it would be difficult, she was prepared to put everything behind him and start afresh.
He then headed across the road to speak to Josh in the cafe. He was hopeful that, now that everyone knew about their affair, they could make things official.
Is this the end of the love triangle?
However, upon returning to her child's bedside, she discovered that it wasn't clear whether his life-changing spinal operation was a success or not, and that he could be permanently paralysed.
What he didn't bargain for was Chelsea arriving on his doorstep, slapping him across the face and vowing to seek revenge.
