ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Friday, just before 2:30 p.m., Rochester police responded to the intersection of Exchange Boulevard and West Broad Street after getting a report of a car and an e-bike crashing into each other.
When officers got to the scene, they found a Rochester man, 38, who received upper body injuries due to the crash, police say. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police added.
During the investigation, officers reported that the e-bike was traveling east on West Broad Street while the car was traveling south on Exchange Boulevard. The car crossed West Broad Street during a green traffic light, when officers say the rider of the e-bike went through a red light, crashing into the side of the car.
Police mentioned that the rider of the e-bike wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No one in the car was reported injured.
