The New York hardcore veterans premiered “Wired For Chaos,” a track that arrives alongside an official music video directed by Rex Miller, exclusively on Rolling Stone.
Speaking about the track, Flanagan described its sound and structure in detail.
“It comes in with an aggressive metal intro befitting a UFC walk-in or a video game, then bursts into a more traditional HC thrash vibe before returning to a heavy beatdown at the end in an unmistakable Cro-Mags style,” he said, according to Lamb Goat.

Cro-Mags’ New Song Signals Next Era
The band has played a significant role in the development of hardcore music since emerging from New York's underground scene in the early 1980s. Their influence has extended beyond hardcore punk, helping shape crossover thrash and other alternative heavy music styles.
The upcoming record will follow In The Beginning, which was released in June 2020. Prior to that album, the group issued the Don't Give In EP in August 2019 and the From The Grave EP in December of the same year.
The release of “Wired For Chaos” arrives during a busy period for the band and Flanagan personally. The documentary Harley Flanagan: Wired For Chaos, which chronicles his turbulent life and survival story, reached theaters in June 2025.
With a new label partnership, a fresh single and a full-length album planned for 2027, the Cro-Mags are once again adding new music to a legacy that has stretched across more than four decades.
