Iranian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. Alireza Enayati said that approximately 30,000 pilgrims from Iran performed Hajj this year. “The departure of Iranian pilgrims by air began on Monday and is expected to continue until the end of this month. The process of transporting Iranian pilgrims by air began today, allowing them to return to their country after performing the Hajj rituals with ease and comfort. Like all other pilgrims, they received a warm welcome and generous hospitality, and they are now returning home safe and sound, after realization of a blessed Hajj,” he said. According to Enayati, approximately 30,000 Iranian pilgrims performed Hajj this year, representing one-third of Iran’s allotted quota. He noted that their transportation to the Kingdom was by air, and their return to Iran is being carried out in the same manner.“There is no need to transport them by land, as air travel is ongoing, and departures are proceeding according to the pre-arranged schedule.” Enayati, who accompanied Iranian pilgrims during this year’s Hajj, affirmed that things were easy and smooth, and Iranian pilgrims, like all other pilgrims, were able to perform their rituals in a comfortable atmosphere, thanks to the extensive facilities and advanced services provided by the Kingdom in the holy sites as well as in Makkah and Madinah.
