Chennai Super Kings might be looking to trade Hardik Pandya for the upcoming season, while the Lucknow Super Giants might aim to make a move away from their skipper, Rishabh Pant. Rishabh's form has been very poor over the past two seasons of the IPL.
On a Cricbuzz show that was designed to discuss the fate of certain cricketers for the next season of the IPL, Virender Sehwag picked some players who could be part of a trade and a few who should ideally be retained by their oppositions.
However, despite that, Sehwag believes they could be key players for their respective teams. Some other players Sehwag backed for retentions included Indian spinners. Kuldeep Yadav (DC), Ravi Bishnoi (RR), Yuzvendra Chahal (PBKS), and R Sai Kishore (GT).

Out of all the players picked, only three remained overseas players, and two of them were on Sehwag's list to be traded off to new teams. The other player suitable for a trade was Liam Livingstone, according to Virender Sehwag. He cited Livingstone's lack of chances in that SRH playing XI as the major reason behind his trade.
