Ursuline 5, Woodridge 2 — Ursuline broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning and added two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning. Rowan Urbach led the Irish with three hits, including a double and a home run and 11 strikeouts as the starting pitcher. Harrison DeLuca and Frank D’Altorio added a hit and an RBI each for Ursuline and Matt Pesa had two hits.

DIVISION V PLAYOFFS

South Range 7, Wellington 0 — Brennen Klasovsky went the distance for South Range, striking out 13 in seven innings and allowing just one hit. Dane Tiger had a hit and two RBIs for the Raiders and Klasovsky added a hit and an RBI. Lincoln Cleevely added an RBI for the Raiders.

DIVISION VI PLAYOFFS

LaBrae 9, Loudonville 1 — Logan Brunstetter struck out 10 and allowed just one hit for LaBrae. Brunstetter added a pair of hits and drove in a run at the plate. Lucas Glaser added a hit and drove in two runs for the Vikings and Tommy Beck and Colton Hall had a hit and an RBI each. Easton Armstrong drove in two runs and Austin Rowe had three hits.

Springfield 4, Oberlin Phoenix 1 — A four run second inning was all it took for Springfield to take the lead for good. Jaxon Minetti led the Tigers with two hits and an RBI. Jackson Ensley was the winning pitcher, striking out eight.

Grand Valley 3, Brookfield 0 — Payton Plizga struck out 11 to lead Grand Valley. Carter Turk had two hits to lead the Mustangs and Nicholas Barbieri had a hit and an RBI. Judah Dejoy had two hits for Brookfield and Bray Coleman struck out eight for the Warriors.

DIVISION VII PLAYOFFS

Warren JFK 9, Lordstown 0 — Andrew LaPolla allowed just one hit, striking out 10 for JFK. LaPolla added three hits and an RBI at the plate as JFK got a shutout to open tournament play. Jacob Liber added a hit and two RBIs for the Eagles and Dylan Sforza had a hit and an RBI.

DIVISION III DISTRICT FINALS

Akron Hoban 4, Howland 1 — Alivia Havannas went the distance for Hoban, striking out 12. The Knights jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and were able to stifle a sixth inning Howland rally. Nevaeh Peters and Channing Jackson had a hit and an RBI each. Ella Newbrough singled to drive in Howland’s lone run. Makenna Perry struck out eight for the Tigers.

DIVISION IV DISTRICT FINALS

Lakeview 9, Northwest 2 — Mackenzie Stowe had four hits, one being an inside the park home run and five RBIs for Lakeview to power the Bulldogs to their second straight district championship. Isabella Isenberg was dominant in the circle for the Bulldogs, striking out 14. Rylee Barnot and Annaliese DeJulio also had four hits each for Lakeview, with Barnot driving in two runs. Isenberg and Ava Neilan added to the offense with a hit and an RBI each.

DIVISION V DISTRICT FINALS

Norwayne 6, Poland 3 — Poland led 3-2 entering the sixth inning, but Norwayne rallied. Riley Gwin drove in a run to tie it at three and then Kenzie Narwocki blasted a three run home run for Norwayne that would ultimately be the difference. Allie Blinsky struck out seven for Poland. Emma Bocierri had a double and an RBI and Sydney Bullick got a run on a sacrifice bunt for the Bulldogs.

Cardinal Mooney 10, Champion 1 — In a battle of valley powerhouses, Mooney came out on top thanks in large part to the arm of Lexi McKinstry. McKinstry had 15 strikeouts for Mooney, allowing just one run. Taylor Watts led the Cardinals offensively with three hits, including a home run and three RBIs. Giada DeSantis added a three run home run for Mooney and Lily Sardich added three hits. McKinstry also drove in three runs. Jonna Strock led Champion with a hit and an RBI and Taylor Rouan had two hits.
