'90s Rocker, Son of Legendary Drummer, Announces Update on 2026 Tour ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

Jason Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin's late drummer, John Bonham, announced that he and his band will be extending their 2026 North America Tour on Tuesday. Bonham, who formed the tribute band in 2010, celebrates the life, legacy and music of Led Zeppelin through live renditions of their discography. Their tour kicked off on Tuesday night at Saratoga, California.

The new shows have expanded into various cities and states on the West Coast and the Midwest areas of the United States from mid-August to early September. After a two-month break, the second leg of the tour will start on Aug. 13 in Pocatello, Idaho, and conclude in Iowa on Sept. 6.

Before the band's formation, Jason Bonham played with Led Zeppelin a few times throughout the 1990s and early 2000s after his father passed away. After Led Zeppelin's 2007 reunion at the O2 Arena in London, Bonham expressed interest in touring and recording with the band, but singer Robert Plant didn't agree. Later on, though, Plant permitted Bonham to create a tribute band to honor his father's legacy.

"I’m very conscious of the legacy and get very emotional," the 59-year-old drummer told The Orange County Registerback in 2010. "For anyone that’s lost anybody, everyone can replay great memories inside, fond memories they have of their loved ones. It’s highly emotional when the crowd is going nuts, you just can’t help but get kind of choked up and think, 'Dad, look at the fans, these guys love you, they love you so much they are supporting your kid. It’s amazing.'"

"If he were here, I wouldn’t be doing it. He wouldn’t make anything of it," Jason Bonham concluded in his Q&A. "Ironically, when we were in Houston, when the place was going crazy, I thought, 'I really wish my Dad was here to see all of this.'"
