As part of the project, Tottenham Station will be rebuilt approximately 20m north of its current site along the realigned Sunbury Line corridor.
The government stated that relocating the station will allow uninterrupted access for passengers using Sunbury services operating through the Metro Tunnel.
New plans feature a wider underpass, creating a direct link from the northern station car park to Sunshine Road, separated from Ashley Street.
Passengers will have lift and stair access to platforms fitted with shelter and lighting, it stated.
Albion Station, set to move slightly east of its current location, will be redeveloped with support from the Victoria state government.
The new design calls for an overpass with lifts and stairs leading to a central platform. Additional features include upgraded lighting, shelters and seating.
In addition, the precinct will have enhanced pedestrian paths on each side of the rail line while keeping the current underpass in use.
These station upgrades are part of a broader A$4.1bn ($2.9bn) investment in Melbourne Airport Rail Stage 1, jointly funded by the Victorian and Australian governments.
Construction is already in progress, with works including the separation of more than 6km of track around Sunshine Station to increase rail capacity across the network.
Scheduled for completion in 2030, the project is expected to support up to 1,000 train services per day and is designed to enable future electrification of the Melton Line.
