Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Sectionals qualifier Adilyn Williams is headed east to Grand Junction this fall, as she has announced her commitment to swim for Colorado Mesa University beginning in the fall of 2026.

“I am thrilled to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Colorado Mesa University! I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout the past ten years as a Channel Cat. I am so grateful to have been part of this community. I also want to extend a huge thank you to Coach Mickey Wender, Coach Andy Parro, and the rest of the CMU coaching staff for this incredible opportunity! Go Mavs!”

A senior at Hanford High School in West Richland, Washington, Williams currently swims year-round with the Tri-City Channel Cats. A versatile threat in the water, she excels at free, breast, fly and IM.

Williams turned in a series of strong swims at the 2025 Tualatin Hills Holiday Classic in December, setting two new personal best times. She placed 9th in the 200 breast (2:21.61) and 11th in the 100 breast (1:05.76), hitting a lifetime best in both events, and she placed 9th in the 200 IM (2:14.54). She also contested the 50 free (26.20), 100 free (56.29), 200 free (1:59.14) and 500 free (5:18.41), logging a season-best time in all four races.

At the 2026 IES Short Course Championships in February, Williams posted another string of top performances. She won the 50 breast (31.30) and placed 14th in the 50 fly (28.56) after posting lifetime best times of 31.03 and 28.27, respectively, during prelims. She also took the runner-up spot in both the 100 breast (1:06.64) and 200 breast (2:24.15) and placed 4th in the 200 free (2:00.50) and 200 IM (2:10.98 – PB), 5th in the 100 free (55.32 – SB) and 23rd in the 50 free (26.74).

She lowered her lifetime best in the 200 IM even further just a few weeks later, logging a time of 2:10.95 at the BC Premier Invitational.

Williams raced at the 2025 Austin Sectionals last March, where she posted then-best times in the 100 breast (1:06.51) and 200 IM (2:13.03). She also contested the 100 free (54.69) and 200 free (1:57.43).

Most of Williams’ top times in the freestyle events still stand from previous seasons. She holds a best time of 54.66 in the 100 free from the 2025 IES Short Course Championships and a best time of 1:55.98 in the 200 free from the 2024 Northwest Region Age Group Regionals.

A Division II program in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the CMU women claimed their eighth consecutive conference title at this past season’s championships. The team went on to send 19 athletes to compete at the NCAA Division II Championships, where they took 3rd overall.

Based on the results from the 2026 RMAC Championships, Williams would have landed in the ‘A’ final in the 200 breast, the ‘B’ final in the 100 breast and 200 free and the ‘C’ final in the 200 IM, setting her up to be a strong contributor right from the start.

The full list of recruits set to join Williams in CMU’s class of 2030 includes Marley Pellegrin, Emily Hensiek, Rachel Allen, Caden Kelly and Eveline Grannis, all of whom should make for strong training partners over the next four years.
