Noman Ali breaks 130-year-old world record after reaching 100 Test wickets for Pakistan ...Middle East

News by : (cricketaddictor) -

Noman completed the milestone of 100 Test wickets on the fifth day (Tuesday) of the 1st Test between the two teams. He was the ninth spinner from Pakistan to reach the landmark.

Pakistan's decision to invite Bangladesh to bat first did not really pay dividends. A century from the home skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, coupled with fifties by Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim, got Bangladesh to 413.

In response, Pakistani debutant Azan Awais scored a century while three other batters - Abdullah Fazal, Salman Agha, and Mohammad Rizwan - made fifties, but the visitors only ended with 386 to give away a lead of 27 runs.

Bangladesh declared their second innings at 240/8 to give Pakistan a target of 268 with a little over two sessions to go in a match marred by rain.
