Max Verstappen has already left his mark on the upcoming Nürburgring 24 Hours – and the race hasn’t even started.
The four-time Formula 1 world champion’s highly anticipated endurance debut at motorsport’s Green Hell next weekend has triggered a surge in ticket sales so strong that this year’s edition is now officially sold out, marking a historic first for the iconic event.
Organisers have confirmed that full-event tickets are gone, with only limited day access remaining.
The announcement, made across the circuit’s official channels, underlined just how much anticipation has been generated by Verstappen’s participation in the grueling endurance classic.
The Dutch star will make his 24-hour race debut in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 entered under a Red Bull-linked Team Verstappen programme and operated by Winward Racing, sharing driving duties with Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella.
From Nordschleife learning curve to headline act
Verstappen has already sampled the Nordschleife in competition earlier this year in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, immediately showing front-running pace.
He claimed pole position with Winward Racing before a victory later slipped away due to a technical infringement.

Despite that setback, his speed and composure have only intensified expectations that he could fight for victory in one of motorsport’s toughest endurance tests.
Now, with grandstands full and global attention locked in, Verstappen’s presence has turned an already legendary event into a must-see spectacle – transforming ticket demand into a record-breaking sell-out and elevating the Nürburgring 24 Hours into one of the hottest sporting weekends of the year.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours will take place on May 16-17, with the event kicking off on Saturday at 3pm local time – 2pm UK.
