The Chicago Bears have made a deal to bolster their wide receiver group, inking Scotty Miller to a contract according to a new report.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Bears will sign Miller to a deal after he participated in their rookie minicamp this week, giving them another veteran presence in a wide receiver room that is dominated by younger players.
In 13 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, Miller had nine catches for 62 yards.
His best season was in 2020 when he had 33 receptions for 501 yards and three touchdowns for the Buccaneers, winning a Super Bowl ring with Tampa Bay that season.
In seven seasons he has 99 catches for 1,216 yards and six touchdowns.
The Bears are looking to add depth to their wide receiver group, which is headlined by Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze, along with Jahdae Walker.
During the offseason the team has brought in Kalif Raymond and also drafted LSU’s Zavion Thomas.
The team’s offseason minicamp will continue next week, with most of the team gathering at Halas Hall for a week of workouts.
