A combined four players between the UNC men’s and women’s lacrosse teams were named as first team All-Americans by USA Lacrosse this week. Brady Wambach earned first team honors on the men’s team, while Chloe Humphrey, Sam Forrest and Eliza Osburn each earned nods on the women’s team.
Wambach, a junior faceoff specialist, has already been named the ACC’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year. This season, Wambach has won 263 faceoffs, and his .668 faceoff winning percentage ranks third nationally. He has five games of at least 20 faceoff wins. Wambach also leads the country in ground balls per game with 10.4, and his 167 ground balls this season are a new program record. His 10 goals and four assists in 2026 are both career highs.
Elsewhere on the men’s team, Owen Duffy and Ty English both earned second team honors, while Dominic Pietramala, Mason Szewczyk and Peter Thomann were each honorable mention. Duffy has been named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, given to lacrosse’s National Player of the Year. He leads UNC in assists (39) and points (69), while his 30 goals rank second. The junior attackman is the fourth player in program history and first since 2022 to be a Tewaaraton finalist. No UNC men’s player has ever won the award.
English enters the NCAA Tournament with five goals, 37 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.

On the women’s side, UNC’s seven All-America selections tied for the most of any team in the country. Humphrey is a first team All-American for the second consecutive year after sweeping National Player of the Year honors as a redshirt freshman. She currently leads the nation in both goals (92) and points (133). Humphrey has already been named first team All-ACC, ACC Attacker of the Year and ACC Tournament MVP and is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award once again in 2026.
Forrest was named the 2025 ACC Defender of the Year and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Defender of the Year. She was also taken with the No. 6 overall pick in the inaugural Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) Draft in April. With Forrest anchoring the defense, UNC currently ranks No. 6 in the nation in scoring defense, allowing only 7.53 goals per game.
Osburn was named the 2026 ACC Midfielder of the Year after receiving All-America honors and being named ACC Freshman of the Year in 2025. This season, she’s scored 29 goals to go along with 17 assists. Her 46 total points rank fourth on the team. Osburn, Humphrey and Forrest will all be part of the United States National Team which will compete at the World Championships in Tokyo this summer.
Kate Levy (daughter of UNC head coach Jenny Levy) earned a second team nod in midfield, while Kaleigh Harden, Brooklyn Walker-Welch and Addison Pattillo all were named to the third team.
