Phoenixville, Pennsylvania native Brynn Lewis has announced her verbal commitment to the application process* at the University of Pennsylvania for the fall of 2027.

Lewis is a junior at Phoenixville Area High School. She was an ‘A’ finalist in both the 50 free (5th) and 100 free (3rd) at the 2026 PIAA Division 3 State Championships in March, hitting PBs of 23.34 and 50.61, respectively. A month later, competing for her club team, the Phoenixville YMCA, at the YMCA National Short Course Championships, she placed 9th in the 50 free (23.39), 6th in the 100 free (51.06), and 3rd in the 200 free (1:49.95). Her 200 time was a lifetime best by 2.1 seconds, as she had just hit a PB of 1:52.03 at the SPY Winterfest Championship in January.
Lewis’ best LCM times date from last summer’s YMCA Long Course Nationals, when she was runner-up in the 50 free (26.72), 12th in the 100 free (58.72), 17th in the 200 free (2:09.13), 15th in the 400 free (4:31.62), and 18th in the 800 free (9:28.62).
With another year and a half left before she heads to Philadelphia, Lewis would already be an impact player for the Quakers. Her best times would have scored in the ‘B’ final of the 200 free and the ‘C’ finals of the 50/100 free at the 2026 Ivy League Women’s Championships, where Penn had its best meet in championship history, coming in 2nd place behind Princeton and ahead of perennial top-3 finishers Harvard and Yale.
Also committed to the Penn class of 2031 are Ginger Strickland, Livia Cremer, Lori Jiang, Quinn Norlander, and Tanja Amizic.

The coach can only commit his or her support in the admission process. Ivy League Admission Offices do not issue “Likely Letters” before October 1 of the prospective student-athlete’s senior year of high school. The Likely Letter, while issued after an initial read of the student’s application, is not an offer of admission to the university.
