US Masters 2026 Spring Nationals
April 30-May 3, 2026 Greensboro Aquatic Center, Greensboro, NC SCY (25 yards) Meet Central Psych Sheets Live Results Recaps Day 1 | Day 2The third day of the 2026 U.S. Masters Nationals saw the most national records of any day so far with 14 records falling on Saturday.
On top of all the records, there were a few performances from former Olympians including Jenny Thompson and Micah Sumrall (formerly Lawrence).
Thompson swam the 50 freestyle, touching in 24.37 to just miss her own 50-54 age national record of 23.75 from 2023.
Sumrall, who swam the 200 breaststroke at the 2012 Summer Olympics, won the 35-39 200 breaststroke on Saturday in 2:19.20. This swim was just off the 2015 record of 2:17.51 set by Katie Glenn.

Women’s 200 Medley Relay
25+: New York Athletic Club — The team of Ally Howe (25.18), Natalie Pierce (27.33), and Nicole Larson (25.95), and Verity Abel (24.28) swam 1:43.14 to take down the former record of 1:44.29 from 2022 set by NYAC. 65+: Rocky Mountain Regional Masters — Suzy Cotton (34.55), Carolyn Wiese (40.48), Cathy Drozda (30.98), and Kathy Garnier (27.21) swam 2:13.22, breaking the former record of 2:15.99, which was set in 2023 by the Sarasota Sharks.Men’s 200 Medley Relay
35+: North Carolina Masters Swimming — James Chapman (22.57), Chandler Thomas (26.04), Edward Testa (22.58), and Michael Klueh (20.62) swam 1:31.81 to break the former record of 1:33.66 set by the Olympic Club in 2018. 65+: Lone Star Masters — Tom Wolf (28.67), David Guthrie (28.22), Bruce Paakh (27.40), and Vince Ackerson (24.73) touched in 1:49.02, breaking the former record of 1:49.55 from 2022 by the Lone Star Masters team.Women’s 50 Freestyle
75-79: Charlotte Davis (Puget Sound Masters) — Davis touched in 29.97, becoming the first 75-79 aged swimmer under 30 seconds in the event as she took down her own former record time of 30.22 from October.Women’s 100 Backstroke
30-34: Ally Howe (New York Athletic Club) — The women’s 100 backstroke 30-34 event went to Ally Howe in 53.28, four tenths faster than the former record of 53.61 set by Courtney Bartholomew in 2025.Men’s 100 Backstroke
45-49: Tim Champney (Chastain Park Athletic Club) — Champney swam the men’s 100 backstroke in 50.64 to win the 45-49 age group and break the former record of 50.83, which was set by Chuck Barnes in 2023. 75-79: Larry Day (Sarasota Sharks) — The 75-79 event went to Larry Day in 1:05.84, more than a second faster than his former record time of 1:07.23 from March. 90-94: Peter Kennedy (Iowa Masters) — Kennedy touched in 1:35.51, breaking his own former record of 1:39.15 from February.Men’s 200 Breaststroke
85-89: Norman Solberg (Minnesota Masters) — The men’s 85-89 aged 200 breaststroke event was won by Norman Solberg in 3:44.16, a little over two seconds faster than the former record time of 3:46.18 set by Frank Piemme back in 2010.Women’s 200 Free Relay
65+: Rocky Mountain Regional Masters– The team of Kathy Garnier (27.67), Kim Watson, Cathy Drozda, and Suzy Cotton swam 1:53.72 in the 65+ 200 freestyle relay. There are not splits available for all four legs, but they broke the Sarasota Sharks record time of 1:56.21 from 2023.Women’s 400 IM
75-79: Cecilia McCloskey (Swim Fort Lauderdale) — Swim Fort Lauderdale’s Cecilia McCloskey was one of four 75-79 aged swimmers in the 400 IM and she swam 6:53.39 to break the former record of 7:01.26, which was set by Christie Hayes in 2023. She becomes the first 75-79 year-old woman to break 7 minutes in the event.Men’s 400 IM
