ROCHESTER, N.Y. — State officials say the flu is no longer prevalent in New York.
University of Rochester Medicine (URMC) told News10NBC that the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has declared the flu to no longer be prevalent.
As of Tuesday, URMC said it has lifted its masking requirement for staff. Masking is optional for visitors at Rochester Regional Health facilities as well.
This flu season saw record activity. At one point, the State Health Department reported the highest number of flu cases ever recorded in a single week.
