Texas A&M picks up 2027 commitment from elite in-state 5-star offensive lineman ...Middle East

News by : (SATURDAY DOWN SOUTH) -

Texas A&M’s already-strong 2027 recruiting class became even better on Sunday.

Kennedy Brown, the nation’s No. 4 offensive tackle, came into the day with an all-SEC top four of Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. The Humble, Texas product ultimately decided to remain in state and play for the Aggies. Brown told On3’s Hayes Fawcett of his decision on Sunday afternoon.

At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Brown isn’t the biggest offensive lineman out there. But he’s considered one of the best. He’s ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 19 player (regardless of position) and No. 3 in the state of Texas.

Brown was a bright spot on a Kingwood High School team that had a shaky 2025 campaign. After a 3-1 start, they went 2-4 down the stretch to finish 5-5.

Sunday’s commitment boosts a recruiting class that is currently No. 2 in the nation. Brown is one of three offensive tackles in the class, with all three hailing from the Lone Star State. San Antonio’s Kaeden Scott, the No. 8 OT in the country, pledged in January. And Tyler’s DeMarrion Johnson, No. 12 in the class, committed in August.

Here’s a sampling of highlights of Brown’s 2025 season on Hudl:
