We’ve got another trade! This time, it’s the Dallas Cowboys, moving up in a trade with the Miami Dolphins into the 11th overall selection.
Dallas is sending No. 12, 177, and 180 to the Dolphins in the swap. Miami now has a loaded chest of picks that includes another first-rounder (No. 30) tonight. The Cowboys are selecting Ohio State safety Caleb Downs with the 11th overall pick.

I was wondering when Downs would come off the board, and apparently, Jerry Jones was too, flipping two picks to the Miami Dolphins for the right to move up one spot and secure the former Buckeyes services.
Downs had two interceptions and two forced fumbles for Ohio State last season. Downs recorded six interceptions, broke up 10 passes, forced three fumbles, and logged 256 tackles in three seasons, two at Ohio State, and one at Alabama under Nick Saban.
Downs now heads to Dallas.
