Madonna is asking the public for help after the vintage costume she wore during her surprise performance at Coachella 2026 went missing.
“Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella!” the pop star, 67, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, April 20, three days after Sabrina Carpenter invited her on stage at the music festival in Indio, California. “Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it possible.”
Madonna continued, “Bringing [my upcoming album] Confessions II back to where it began was such a thrill! This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing — my costume that was pulled from my personal archives — jacket, corset, dress and all other garments.”
The “Like a Virgin” singer emphasized that the costume pieces “aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history.” Madonna further shared that “other archival items from the same area” have also disappeared.

Madonna then shared photos of the missing ensemble, which she wore in both her 2006 Coachella debut and her return alongside Carpenter, 26, on Friday, April 17. (Madonna also joined Drake on stage at the festival in 2015.)
Friday night’s performance saw Madonna and Carpenter duet on the former’s hits “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer.” The pair also debuted a new song from Madonna’s upcoming album, which is set for release on July 3.

Put their s*** down and everyone just has a good time together, right? I am thrilled to be a part of that healing experience of bringing people together.”
Madonna concluded, “I just want to say, four lines from my Confessions 1 record. It goes like this. ‘Can we get together? I really, I really want to be with you. Come on, check it out with me. I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too.’”
