Lambrini Girls have dropped out of Coachella 2026 at the eleventh hour due to a serious health scare for singer Phoebe Lunny.
“Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury,” Lunny, 27, announced via Instagram on Thursday, April 9. “TLDR: happened in Australia. Misdiagnosed. Late treatment. Doctors orders are I can’t fly or perform for 6 weeks.”
Lunny confirmed that Lambrini Girls are postponing all upcoming U.S. concert dates to allow her adequate time to recover before their U.K. and European shows in late May go ahead as planned.
The punk singer also acknowledged that Lambrini Girls’ absence from Coachella would surely be upsetting for fans because “it’s dark times, especially in the states.”

“There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism,” Lunny wrote. “Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about.”
She went on, “Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, chant, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy.”
Lunny assured Lambrini Girls’ devoted fans that she would have carried on with the Coachella 2026 set if it was at all possible.
“We have received quite a lot of messages re Coachella, we are so gutted, guys,” Lunny acknowledged. “We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe [where] we get to play next year instead … Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery.”
She added, “Thank you for always showing up for us.”

Lambrini Girls were scheduled to perform at Coachella 2026 on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, April 18, as support for a bill headlined by Justin Bieber. Pass-holders can still expect plenty of starpower on the lineup, as Addison Rae, SOMBR, Jack White, Labrinth, David Byrne and The Strokes are among the dozens of acts on tap for both Saturdays.
Us exclusively learned this week that Bieber, 32, has been involved in nearly every aspect of planning his Coachella performance.
“He’s been involved in everything all along, from negotiating his own paycheck to working on the show’s creative direction,” a source exclusively told Us. “He even helped design the merch that’ll be sold on the grounds — T-shirts, hoodies, hats, etc.”
Fans can expect a set showcasing his Swag albums, plus plenty of classic hits to keep the masses of festival-goers singing along.

“Justin is very proud of his Swag albums [released in 2025], so he wants to spotlight them, but he’s also packing his set with old hits that he hasn’t performed in years. He knows the crowd will want to hear those too,” the insider told Us. “He’s been fine-tuning and changing some things as recently as this week. It’s all very fluid, but the bulk of the show is finalized and has been run through.”
The 2026 Coachella festival kicks off on Friday, April 10, with Sabrina Carpenter headlining and additional sets from Teddy Swims, The XX, Sexyy Red, Katseye and alternative rock icons Devo. The same group will perform on Friday, April 17.
Coachella will close out both weekends – on Sundays, April 12 and Sunday, April 19 — with headliner Karol G, Young Thug, Major Lazer, FKA Twigs, Iggy Pop and Suicidal Tendencies, among others.
