A key Kentucky player is reportedly headed for the transfer portal. Beloved Kentucky guard Collin Chandler is now exiting the Wildcats program, according to CBS Sports/247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.
Chandler will have two years of eligibility left. Chandler started in 31 of his 36 games last season as a sophomore for the Wildcats. Chandler averaged 9.7 points on 43.5 percent shooting overall and 41 percent from the 3-point line last season.

According to KSR’s Matt Jones, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound Chandler Chandler is expected to transfer to BYU. Chandler initially committed to BYU but then went on a mission trip for two years. After returning from the trip, Chandler entered the portal and followed Mark Pope to Kentucky.
Jones is also reporting that Chandler asked Kentucky for what would’ve been the second-highest amount of money in program history. The Wildcats turned down Chandler’s request.
