The ground-breaking fixed-rig observational series ran for 11 seasons between 2010 and 2018 and now, a new generation of viewers will be able to follow the intimate and emotional journey of childbirth in 12 new episodes.
Bringing "fresh stories, diverse voices and a contemporary perspective to the timeless experience of childbirth", the series will once more be filmed using fixed-rig cameras to follow "the raw, emotional, and sometimes unpredictable moments experienced by expectant families and the medical teams who support them".
Will Rowson, co-creative director at Dragonfly TV added: "There’s such affection for One Born Every Minute, and we’re thrilled to return to it. In the years it’s been away so much around pregnancy and maternity care has changed, making this an exciting moment to reimagine the show for an E4 audience."
The series landed a BAFTA following its first season for best factual series, and was nominated in the same category in 2011.
