TO Barrett revealed to On3 on Monday night that he plans to enter the transfer portal this week after spending 2 seasons at Mizzou.
The 6-foot-4 guard will apparently be heading elsewhere for the 2026-27 season after playing in 33 games and making 14 starts for Dennis Gates’ team this past season. Barrett, a former in-state standout at Link Academy in Branson, averaged 8.6 points, 3.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per contest for the Tigers, helping them earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Barrett was also a clever defender for Mizzou, averaging 1.2 steals per game this season, which apparently will be his last in Columbia. He played in 22.8 minutes per game for this season’s Tigers, who were eliminated in the first round of the tournament by Miami.

During his freshman season at Mizzou, Barrett appeared in 19 games and averaged just 1.9 points per game, so he made a big jump in every way during his sophomore season. Now, the college basketball world and the SEC awaits what destination Barrett will choose for his junior season.
