Two-time US Olympian Drew Kibler is back in the water and training at Aquatic Sport Performance (ASP). Kibler told SwimSwam that he is “not sure about competing yet.”
When asked about competition as well as his short term and long term plans, Kibler told SwimSwam, “Honestly I had zero plans to ever swim again a month ago. MA invited me out to swim with the ASP guys and I had a good time. Went to a few more practices over the next 2 weeks and it’s been fun so far! MA inviting me out, Winter Olympics, and Cam’s record all had me missing the sport so we’ll see. Not sure about competing yet. ASP has an awesome team, coaches and swimmers”
Kibler can be seen suited up for the first time in “a year and a half” below:

Kibler last competed at the 2024 US Open in December 2024. That was his first time competing since the 2024 Paris Olympics. Back in Paris, Kibler helped the US men to silver in the 4×200 free relay as he split a 1:45.12 during finals. He also swam on the US men’s 4×200 free relay in the 2020(1) Tokyo Olympics. That relay finished 4th.
The 26 year old is the latest swimmer to train at Aquatic Sport Performance in some capacity. Back in November, Caeleb Dressel detailed his training relationship with Aquatic Sport Performance under Sean Kao with Kao primarily helping with Dressel’s strength training. Dressel and Michael Andrew were both out in California training in the pool and strength testing last month.
2025 World Championship team member for the US Santo Condorelli trains out of ASP and US National Team member Maxine Parker announced in November that she would make the move to ASP in January.
