Joshua Jackson and his ex-wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, are navigating custody negotiations with the help of a private judge.
According to newly filed court docs submitted on Wednesday, April 1, and obtained by Us Weekly, the private judge will oversee all final custody issues, including post-judgment issues pertaining to their 5-year-old daughter, Juno, until March 4, 2029.
The private judge will also oversee future custody modifications and child support matters nearly one year after the former couple finalized their divorce in May 2025.
As part of their divorce settlement, Jackson, 47, and Turner-Smith, 39, agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their only child together, whom they welcomed in April 2020. He pays Turner-Smith $2,787 per month in child support, although that number could be subject to change.

Turner-Smith stated the pair separated on September 13, 2023, in court docs previously obtained by Us, while Jackson listed the split date as September 30, 2023.

Art, antiques, furniture, electronics and professional equipment would remain in her possession as well as all of her bank accounts, investment accounts and retirement accounts in addition to her SAG-AFTRA pension plan. She was also able to hang onto “all residuals, royalties, intellectual property stemming from [her] films, filming, commercial and film-related projects.”

They also agreed the Dawson’s Creek alum would get to keep several bank, investment and retirement accounts, his business and all vehicles in his name.

Jackson paid Turner-Smith an equalization payment of $133,000 in March and April of last year.
