A Massachusetts man has been accused of viciously killing his 90-year-old grandmother by bludgeoning her with a skateboard, authorities said.
Devin Dube of Hudson was arrested on charges of murder, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury over 60, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon over 60, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in the fatal attack on Elaine Dube, according to the Hudson Police Department.
Devin is accused of beating Elaine, his sister and his father at a home they all shared, on Tuesday, March 31, police said in a Wednesday, April 1, news release. Three 911 calls related to the attack were made that day, according to authorities.
The first 911 call on March 31 was made by Devin’s sister, who told a dispatcher that he was attacking her with a skateboard, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said at a news conference.

Then, another 911 call was made from the home about an attack on Elaine, according to Ryan.
Devin is accused of first attacking Elaine with a skateboard inside the basement apartment of their Hudson home, where Elaine lived, Ryan said.
He struck her several times with the skateboard, resulting in her death, according to Ryan.
Afterward, Ryan said Devin “also got into an altercation with his sister and his father, similarly striking them with a skateboard.”
When Hudson police arrived at the home, Devin was gone, according to Ryan.
About 45 minutes later, a third 911 call came in about a person running around a property located near Devin’s home, Ryan said.
Police visited the property, where they found him hiding in a van, according to Ryan.

Following the attack, Elaine died at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she had been taken for treatment.
Devin’s sister and father also received medical treatment for their injuries and were later released, according to police.
Devin appeared in court for an arraignment on April 1, CBS news reported. Dr. Hilary Novak, a forensic psychologist who assessed Devin, said that he had schizophrenia and that she had doubts about his competency.
He is set to be psychologically evaluated at Bridgewater State Hospital, according to CBS News. His next court date is set for April 17.
It was not immediately clear whether Devin had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
“This is a senseless tragedy, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted during this incredibly difficult time,” Hudson Police Chief Richard P. DiPersio said at the news conference.
Authorities are investigating what led to Devin allegedly attacking his family, according to Ryan.
Hudson is about a 40-mile drive west from Boston.
