ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies say no one was seriously hurt during Monday’s 11-car pileup on I-590 South beneath the Elmwood Avenue overpass.
However, 8 cars were towed away, and at least one person reported having neck pain. Deputies say one car stopped due to traffic ahead, creating a “domino effect” of cars colliding around 8:30 a.m.
The New York State Police and deputies worked to clear the road and to make sure everyone involved in the crash found another ride. The sheriff’s office says no tickets were issued, and no one was taken to the hospital.
