2026 New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships

It was all Bedford, all the time at the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships.

For the sixth straight year, Bedford swept the team titles, with the girls finishing 119 points ahead of runner-up Dover and the boys 143 points better than runner-up Pinkerton Academy.

Girls’ Recap

Bedford was led by senior Caitrin Duprey and junior Emma Conway.

A Gettysburg College commit, Duprey won the 50 free in 24.65 and claimed the 100 free in 53.86.

Conway won the 200 free in a time of 1:56.51 and then claimed the 100 breast in a time of 1:05.05.

Each was also a part of two winning relay teams, as Bedford won all three relays.

In the 200 medley relay, the team of  Emmie Goucher (28.57), Conway (29.41), Jessie Black (28.31) and Paige Jeffers (25.90) won in a time of 1:52.19.

Bedford claimed the 200 free relay behind the team of Conway (25.46), Zoe Chun (27.47), Amina Suljevic and Duprey in a time of 1:44.81.

The 400 free relay was won by Bedford’s team of Goucher (56.75), Emily Yeaton (59.67), Jeffers (56.49) and Duprey (54.42) in 3:47.33.

Other individual winners were:

Windham sophomore McKenna Lawson won the 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:11.62. Alvirne senior Audi Anderson claimed the 1-meter diving title with 356.95 points. Nel Steckler, a freshman at Exeter, won the 100 fly in a personal best time of 59.06. Goffstown senior Alex Uhlmann, a Sienna College commit, claimed the 500 free in a personal best time of 5:22.69. Goucher, a senior from Bedford who has committed to Maine, won the 100 back in a time of 59.63.

Girls’ Team Standings — Top 5

Bedford, 301 Dover, 182 Pinkerton Academy, 156 Windham, 135 Goffstown, 112

Boys’ Recap

Just like in the girls’ event, Bedford had two swimmers who won two individual events and were a part of two winning relay teams:, senior Andrew Gordon and junior Tyler Chun.

Gordon won the 100 free in a time of 47.91 and the 100 back in a time of 54.35.

Chun claimed the 50 free in a time of 21.99 and the 100 fly in a personal best time of 50.03.

In the 200 medley relay, Bedford’s team of Logan Pray (28.11), Edward Goucher (29.47), Chun (22.44) and Jack Mortimer (27.76) in a time of 1:42.78.

Bedford won the 200 free relay behind the team of  Gordon (22.51), Goucher (24.86), Brooks Hardie (23.53) and Caden Chang (22.51) in a time of 1:33.41.

The 400 free relay was taken by Bedford’s team of Chun (47.04), Mortimer (49.75), Chang (50.46) and Gordon (47.61) in a time of 3:14.86.

Exeter also had two multi-event winners, senior Griffin Thomas and junior Dennis Dragomaretski.

Thomas won the 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:01.01 and the 100 breast in a time of 59.37 after finishing 2nd both last year.

Dragomaretski claimed the 200 free in a personal best time of 1:44.56 after finishing 2nd last year, and repeated as champion in the 500 free with a time of 4:45.64.

Nashua North senior Dawson Bolton won the 1-meter diving event with 315.70 points.
