BRIGHTON, N.Y. — On Sunday around, 12:15 p.m., an on-duty deputy from the Monroe County Sherriff’s Office got an alert of a stolen vehicle in the area of Penfield Road and Chiswell Way, leading to three arrests.

MCSO says the vehicle was reported stolen back on Saturday.

The deputy found the vehicle parked on Penfield Road in front of a business, when further assistance arrived, the report says.

Deputies say they approached the vehicle and found two suspects in inside: Evan J. Crittenden, a 36-year-old from Rochester, and Matthew Solomon, a 48-year-old from Rochester.

The two suspects were arrested as deputies found suspected crack cocaine in Crittenden’s possession, deputies say.

The third suspect, the driver, left the scene before deputies arrived and was later found at a nearby parking lot. Ryan Goetze, a 30-year-old from the Town of Sweden, was arrested, according to the report.

All three suspects were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, Goetze and Crittenden were both charged with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.

Crittenden was also charged with possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

MCSO says all three suspects had a previous criminal history.

They were taken to Monroe County CAP court for arraignment. Goetze and Crittenden are said to be without bail due to their felon status and Soloman was released.
