The Chicago White Sox made a flurry of moves Wednesday as they set their Opening Day roster for the 2026 season.
Among the roster moves was the decision to designate catcher Korey Lee and infielder Curtis Mead for assignment, moves that free up spaces on the team’s 40-man roster.
The White Sox also placed infielder Brooks Baldwin on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow sprain, and placed catcher Kyle Teel on the 10-day IL with a right hamstring strain.
Pitchers Prelander Berroa, Drew Thorpe and Mike Vasil were all placed on the 15-day injured list as they continue to recover from Tommy John surgery, the team said.
In all, the White Sox roster will include 13 pitchers, two catchers, five infielders and six outfielders, according to the club.
