Kickoff of United Way Scam Campaign
The United Way’s Scan Campaign kicks off on Wednesday, giving shoppers at Wegmans a chance to donate to help families in need.
Donations go directly to the United Way, which supports over 1,100 nonprofits serving 400,000 people in the six-county region. The campaign runs until May 3, and 21 local Wegmans locations are taking part. You can learn more here.
Shoppers can also round up their change to donate. United Way and Wegmans have worked with each other for over 100 years.
Reveal of JCC CenterStage show lineup
We’ll soon know which shows are coming to the JCC CenterStage Theatre for the 50th anniversary season. JCC artistic director Ralph Meranto will reveal the lineup at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Other local theater groups have also recently revealed their season lineups. Geva Theatre’s season kicks off in September with “A Chorus Line”. For Broadway in Brighton at the OFC Creations Theatre, the season also kicks off in September, with “Hairspray”.
Grand Opening of TaiChi Bubble Tea in Henrietta
A new Taichi Bubble Tea location is coming to the area. Business owners will cut the ribbon on the new location at 100 Marketplace Drive in Henrietta on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
To celebrate the grand opening, there will be a traditional lion dance performance and promotions for customers. Taichi, a Rochester-founded brand, has since expanded nationwide with at least 59 stores.
