Although the eyes of most Chicago Bulls fans are likely on March Madness, with the 2025-26 season already in the toilet, the club technically still has 12 games left on its schedule.
Here’s hoping we lose every one of them. The Houston Rockets are looking to bounce back after getting wiped out by the Los Angeles Lakers twice last week — although they did beat the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat after those LA tilts. The Bulls should present the perfect opportunity for the Rockets to do just that.

Vintage James Harden Helps Cavaliers Win 115-110, Prevent Feisty Bulls Comeback — March 19, 2026What To Watch For
Kevin Durant has quietly been working on a borderline 50/40/90 season. The 16-time All-Star is gunning for his 12th All-NBA Team honor this season, his first with the Rockets. Through 67 healthy contests for Houston, Durant has been averaging 25.7 points on .517/.408/.885 shooting splits, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks. Not too shabby for a 37-year-old in his 18th season (well, technically 19th, but he missed all of 2019-20 due to an Achilles tendon recovery). Although this tiny, mismatched Bulls squad is hard to watch on its own, fans should delight in the 2014 MVP’s continued greatness. After being squeezed from Ime Udoka’s rotation last year, former No. 4 lottery pick Reed Sheppard was pressed into service this season out of necessity. The ACL preseason injury absence of recently re-signed starting point guard Fred VanVleet necessitated Sheppard’s backcourt contributions. The Rockets astoundingly opted not to improve the point guard position at the trade deadline, making Sheppard that much more imperative to Houston’s playoff chances. He was recently inserted into the starting lineup. This year, he’s been averaging 13.5 points on a .432/.393/.802 slash line, 3.4 dimes, 2.8 boards, 1.5 swipes and 0.7 rejections a night. Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Leonard Miller and “Danger” Rob Dillingham are the healthy young pieces on this Bulls club who seem likeliest to be around next year. Everyone not named Rob Dillingham has looked pretty good since the trade deadline. Bulls guard Jaden Ivey, who’ll be a restricted free agent this summer, suffered a setback in his recovery from lingering knee pain, per K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network. Head coach Billy Donovan had suggested that the former No. 5 pick could return to the court at some point during Chicago’s impending four-game road trip. Now, that window may be closing.Injury Report
