ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An 18-year-old woman was shot early Friday morning on West Ridge Road.
Rochester police responded to Orange Street around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a person shot. Officers found the woman with at least one gunshot wound to her lower body.
She was taken by ambulance to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. Police determined the shooting happened on West Ridge Road.
The woman was driven to Orange Street in a private vehicle before 911 was called. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
