PENFIELD, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said a mother and her 3-year-old son are missing after an attempted welfare check on Thursday around 1:30 p.m.

MCSO said Rosemary Lanipekun, 40, and her son, Leonard Lenipekun, were last seen in Penfield.

The report said that she is believed to drive a Jeep Compass 4×4 with New York license plates, similar to the one pictured above.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone that finds the jeep to contact 911.
