ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A weak disturbance will bring a few flurries and snow showers Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with no accumulation expected. Our last day of winter will be fairly benign, with lots of clouds, slightly cooler than average temperatures and a light rain shower or flurry. Meanwhile, Spring officially arrives on Friday morning with seasonable temperatures in the mid 40s and a period of rain developing.
This rain should clear for the start of the weekend. Saturday’s weather looks pretty good if you are out and about. Temperatures will push into the upper 40s with some breaks of sun, though clouds will be winning out. Saturday will be the dry weekend day, with our next cold front and area of low pressure approaching. Sunday may start off on the mild side with rain showers, but that cold front will drop our temperatures through the day, with rain changing over to some wet snow.
This will be followed by another punch of chillier air to start the first full week of spring. Temperatures Monday and Tuesday of next week will likely hold in the 30s, but with quiet weather and a little sun.
