Love, who co-founded the iconic pop-rock band more than 60 years ago with his cousins Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson and friend Al Jardine, was born on March 15, 1941, in Los Angeles, California. He has served as a songwriter and frontman for the Beach Boys since 1961, per the official Beach Boys website.
