March 12-16, 2026 SCY (25 yards) West Fargo, ND Meet Details Meet Mobile: “2026 Speedo Sectionals (North) – West Fargo” Day 1 RecapNC State commit Thomas McMillan had a strong showing on night two in West Fargo as he won two events. McMillan’s first win came in the 50 fly as he touched in a 21.55 for the win.
About 20 minutes later, McMillan earned the win in the 200 backstroke with a 1:44.16, a huge best time for the 16 year old. His previous best was a 1:47.49 that he swam in March 2024 at NCSAs. This was his first time swimming the event since December 2024 when he swam a 1:51.30 at Winter Juniors.
Also earning a win on the boys side was Andrew Seifert who posted a 1:58.48 in his win in the 200 breast. Seifert is committed to Dordt University, which competes in the NAIA. Seifert’s best time sits at a 1:57.64 and his time today would have notably been 5th at last week’s 2026 NAIA Championships.
Seifert also swam to 2nd in the 50 free, touching in a 19.99, just off his lifetime best 19.83. Blake Tebeest earned the win in a 19.49, only 0.10 off his lifetime best that he swam last month.
Evan Feilmeyer was the final winner on the boys side as he touched in a 4:30.41 in the 500 free. He just finished his sophomore season at Grinnell College where he won the Midwest Conference title in the 500 free with a lifetime best 4:28.76.
Leading the way on the girls side for night 2 was 15 year old Millie Knudson who won two events. Knudson won the 50 fly in a 24.74 before going on to win the 50 free in a 22.82. Her lifetime best in the 50 free sits at a 22.63 from last month.
After winning the 1000 free last night in a new lifetime best, Kate Farrell swam to another best time, this time in the 500 free for the win. She touched in a 4:49.50, knocking off over a second from her previous best 4:50.90 that she swam in November.
16 year old Thea Bike dropped two and a half seconds off her lifetime best in the 200 back for the win. She touched in a 1:55.66, getting under her previous best of a 1:58.19 that she swam last March at Rochester Sectionals.
The 200 breaststroke was the closest race of the night as Wisconsin commit Kenzie Hinrich earned the win in a 2:16.20, only 0.02 ahead of Bethany Mehl who touched in a 2:16.22. Hinrich’s previous best time was a 2:18.09 while Mehl’s previous best was a 2:17.39.
